Lancaster JetHawks defeat San Jose Giants 4-3 - San Jose Mercury News

Lancaster 4, S.J. GIANTS 3

Alex Burg homered in the ninth to cut the deficit to one, but San Jose left the potential tying run on first base on Tuesday night at The Hangar.

The Giants had won four of five and opened the trip by scoring twice in the first inning on Jarrett Parker's two-out single, but advanced just one other runner past first base until Burg's homer with one out in the ninth.

San Jose starter Taylor Rogers struck out six and allowed just four hits and three runs (two earned) in six innings, but walked five.
